Verdal borough resides in northern trondelag, by the furthest inland part of trondheims fjord. The borough is a typically industrial community, where Aker Verdal is the largest industry work place. The course lays in the south west down by trondheims fjord.A perfectly suited, cultural landscape with many ancient monuments in the area.The course is usually open for play in april / may, and the season lasts until october/november.
Stiklestad Kultursenter
Stiklestad is one of the best known place names from Norway's history. Here Olav the Holy was killed in a big battle in 1030. Stiklestad church is built on the site where he fell.
On the memorial site, you find lots of different activities the year round, where the battle and the holy king makes up the historic background. Through ”Spelet om Heilag Olav”, the folk museum, exebitions, concerts, outdoor theaters and other offers shows a pulsating cultural life that will give you many great experiences here in Stiklestad.
